The LB3980 utilizes DACs (data acquisition cases) to connect to each cell. The DAC includes a wiring harness that connects to the cells. Each DAC communicates back to the LB3980 load bank wirelessly.

The exact power consumption of an LB3980 varies with model and discharge current, however expect the draw to be less than 9A at max current. A 15A circuit breaker is sufficient for power needs

LB3980 Discharge Procedure

After wiring and turn on the unit, our Battery Load Bank LB3980 is very easy for you to enter your specific setting and start the test. In the case bellow we use the unit LB48V-300A to discharge 48V, 100A as an example for your reference

If you order our Battery Load Units LB3980 with DAC to monitor the performance of each cell, the DAC is well configured and test accordingly serval times before delivery, in case you may need to change or reset the serial number for specific DAC during replacement or maintenance, this post would guide you through

All our product and control boards have been calibrate and QC serval times before delivery, customer no need to do the calibration at their end, but in case you need to do it somehow, the instruction bellow would be useful

LB3980 Wireless Communication Channel Setting

Our Battery Load Units LB3980 communicate with its DAC ( if have DAC) via wireless WiFi, as all units use same wireless communication channel default, if you have two units with DAC work at the same place at the same time, it's rare happen, but if it's happen, you would need to switch the communication channel of some units in case the communication between main units and DAC intertwined
